Alarm triggers

A sensor detects a problem — door, window, motion, smoke, or panic — and your panel sends an instant signal.

How do I arm or disarm from the app?

Tap the shield icon on the home screen and choose Arm Away, Arm Stay, or Disarm — from anywhere.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Open the app, tap "Forgot username or password," enter your email, and follow the reset link. Check your spam folder.

My alarm keeps going off for no reason.

Check Activity → Event History in the app to find which sensor triggered. Low battery is the #1 cause of false alarms.

My app shows a low battery alert.

Locate the sensor, open its casing, and replace the battery (usually CR2032 or CR123A). The alert clears in minutes.

The app says my system is offline.

Check your internet connection and panel power. Restart your router and wait 2–3 minutes. Still offline? Call us.

How do I add another user to the app?

Log in at alarm.com → Users → Manage Logins → Add a Login. They'll receive an email invite to set their password.
